PATH is a collaborative program funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation between the San Diego Community College District (SDCCD) and the University of California San Diego to help support and guide the journey of transfer students into the study of the humanities.
The program is introduced at the community college level, providing transfer guidance and interaction with UC San Diego. It includes a summer academy to prepare students prior to arrival at the university, and continues with special benefits for students when they transfer through completion of their degree.

Summer Academy 2017

SDCCD students majoring in the arts and humanities who have accepted admission to UC San Diego for Fall 2017 are eligible for the academy.  The academy gives transfer students a head start on the Fall 2017 semester with a Summer Bridge program specific to transfer students in the PATH program.

The Academy will provide 8 college credits, career development training, fortifying academic skills workshops, and an introduction to the UC San Diego campus.

The Summer Academy meets Sunday, July 2nd through Thursday, August 3rd, 2017. Students will have their tuition, housing, dining, parking and books covered by a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Additionally, students who successfully complete the academy will receive a generous stipend. (In other words, it is FREE - and you'll receive a stipend for attending!!)
